QUESTIONS ABOUT CBD

What is CBD and how does it differ to THC?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is just one of over 100 identified cannabinoids (cannabis compounds) naturally found in the Cannabis Sativa L. plant. In contrast to the more widely known cannabinoid, THC, it has no psychotropic properties (does not affect mental state) and is completely legal.

How does it work?

The exciting thing about CBD is its influence on the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ES).

The purpose of your ES is to help maintain homeostasis (aka keeping your body in balance). This means regulating your mood, sleep/wake cycle, immune system, pain levels and much more.

When your body is in balance, all of your internal systems are working, as they should. When you’re out of balance, inflammation causes parts of your physiology to flare up, which you feel as injury, anxiety or illness.

The scientific research being done on CBD looks into its ability to interact with your ES and tell your body to correct its imbalances by reducing inflammation.

What does CBD do?

CBD helps promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle. That’s about all we can claim about this super-supplement, for now. CBD is gaining plenty of notoriety across the globe and is being medically tested for its properties attaining to its potential anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety benefits along with its potential to relax and aid sleep. Will I get High?

There is no detectable THC in any Aver products, so none of our products will make you feel ‘high’. All Aver products are independently tested for purity and contamination to make sure that they are completely safe and THC free.

Is CBD legal?

Yes, the sale and purchase of CBD derived products has been legal in the UK since 2017, provided it contains less than 0.2% of the psychoactive agent THC. Aver CBD is totally legal. We choose to test our end products so that we know and can prove that there are no detectable amounts of THC, CBN, heavy metals or solvents in the final product. This is not a regulatory requirement, though a feature that we deem to be integral to ensure that our products are premium quality and can be relied upon by our customers.

Test results are easily downloadable from the product page under the “Product Test” dropdown menu, however, we understand that they may be difficult to interpret so should you wish to discuss the Aver product story further,  please email info@averlondon.com for more information.

Are there any health benefits in relation to CBD?

We at Aver do not make claim to any of our products having any medicinal benefits.

Is it safe for me to take CBD?

CBD oil has been deemed non-toxic and non-addictive by the World Health Organisation – it has been tolerated in humans with a great safety profile at high levels of consumption. In very rare cases CBD has caused nausea or an upset stomach. Furthermore, our CBD goes through the most rigorous testing process possible to ensure its purity and that there’s nothing in there that shouldn’t be.

Just to be sure, if you are on any medication, please consult with a doctor before use. Do not use if you are pregnant or lactating. Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage of 200 mg. Aver recommend that anyone under the age of 18 ask their guardians prior to consuming.

CBD is a food supplement and is not a replacement for a balanced, varied and healthy lifestyle.

Will CBD make me fail my employer’s drug test?

If you have to take a drug test for employment, chances are they will be screening for cannabis. But that actually means they’re looking for the presence of THC or THC metabolites—not CBD. Technically, CBD is a chemical, and if you ingest it, your body will metabolize it, so it can be detected. But the average drug test is not designed to pick up CBD, or any other compounds found in cannabis other than THC. As Aver products are THC free, and there is no standardised test for CBD, it is highly unlikely that you will fail from using Aver products. However, Aver cannot accept any responsibility for any personal cases of drug test failure. It’s on you guys, so if you are unsure…please consult your employer or get some external advice.

Test results are easily downloadable from the product page under the “Product Test” dropdown menu, however, we understand that they may be difficult to interpret so should you wish to discuss the Aver product story further,  please email info@averlondon.com for more information.

Will I get in trouble taking CBD with me on an international flight?

First off, you need to check the rules of the airport you are flying from. Double check that you’re transporting liquids in an appropriate container and look to see if there are any additional rules for the transportation of CBD oil (most airports have a Facebook page, contact them via this and get connected to the relevant person). You will also want to check the local regulations of your country of destination. Some places it is legal, others places it isn’t (yet), so do please check thoroughly as to the local law on CBD before flying to certain places.

Questions about Aver products

Where do Aver source their CBD?

Aver CBD is extracted from hemp harvested in Colorado, where the plant is sun-grown, using organic cultivation methods and does extremely well in the temperate conditions and clean soil. By harvesting in the USA, we are also able to get our produce from CBD rich hemp flowers specifically cultivated for the extraction of cannabinoids. This allows us to create a compound of the highest quality to put into our premium CBD products.

The EU does not permit the growth of hemp flowers, and subsequently all CBD sourced from EU farms is derived from industrial Hemp instead. While industrial Hemp is an incredible renewable resource that has a vast array of uses, it’s not primarily grown for the extraction of its compounds and as such is not an ideal source of CBD and other cannabinoids. This is true for a number of reasons, but mostly it’s due to the fact that industrial hemp is grown for its fibrous stalk and nutritious seeds and not than its CBD-rich flowers.

Is there any THC in Aver products

There is no detectable THC in any Aver products. Once extracted, the raw distillate is tested in the USA to ensure no impurities. We don’t stop there though, once it has completed its refining process we test the product again to ensure the highest quality produce has been created.

Test results are easily downloadable from the product page under the “Product Test” dropdown menu, however, we understand that they may be difficult to interpret so should you wish to discuss the Aver product story further,  please email info@averlondon.com for more information.

What are Terpenes?

Terpenes are a diverse group of organic aromatic compounds abundantly found in many conifer plants. They are a main composite in the essential oils of many different plants and flowers and are a common ingredient in aromatherapy. Terpenes are not only the molecules that give plant oils their unique smell and taste but in the case of CBD, they also significantly compliment the effectiveness of the other cannabinoids in the end product.

Aver CBD contain a unique blend of terpenes to give each product its own taste and targeted function. Please consult the ingredients list for each product for information on what Terpenes we include in our recipes.

How can you guarantee the quality of the products I buy?

At Aver, we hold the quality of our products in the highest regard.

We have partnered with leading professionals in their respective fields to ensure that our raw materials and manufacturing processes are of the highest quality- only then can we guarantee the premium nature of our products.

Aver CBD in particular undergoes a rigorous independent testing process to certify that there are no impurities in the product. But we understand that claiming this is irrelevant without proof, so we implore you to review the test results yourself.

Test results are easily downloadable from the product page under the “Product Test” dropdown menu, however, we understand that they may be difficult to interpret so should you wish to discuss the Aver product story further,  please email info@averlondon.com for more information.

What makes Aver products different?

We at Aver are completely focused on creating best in class products for our end consumers. We ensure that we adopt the best possible methods of production at every stage in the process, thereby leaving no stone unturned when creating a high-end final product.

We want to push the boundaries of premium CBD products and have therefore chosen the create a product that is 5% premium CBD with an additional 1% terpene blend, specifically designed to embody our product ranges. Terpenes are not only the molecules that give plant oils their unique smell and taste but in the case of CBD, they also significantly compliment the effectiveness of the other cannabinoids in the end product. Therefore we at Aver have created a product that not only gets its incredible taste from natural plant oils over additives, but the terpenes also enhances the functional qualities of the oil.

Our premium CBD + Terpene blend is unique to CBD products currently on the market and puts our tinctures in a class of their own.
